Morgoth kondigt (tijdelijk) afscheid aan

Het Duitse death metal gezelschap Morgoth houdt het voorlopig voor bekeken. De passage op het festival Chronical Moshers Open Air (8 juni) is mogelijks de laatste keer dat de groep live op het podium zal staan. Plannen voor een nieuw album zijn er evenmin.

Als reden worden 'organisatorische en individuele factoren' aangehaald. De uit Noordrijn-Westfalen afkomstige groep wenst te benadrukken dat het niet per se om een permanent afscheid gaat. Gitarist Sebastian Swart deelde via Facebook onderstaande verklaring.

"Since a while it is difficult for us to act flexibly enough as a band. The main reason is that we all live spread all over Germany. My individual reasons are the fact that I suffer from massive and multiple hearing problems, and on top of that, I will be moving abroad for my work. The decision does not mean that Morgoth will permanently split up, but all activities are being suspended at this time."
