Niet dat het een kwaliteitslabel is of zo maar het klinkt toch veelbelovender dan Duits, hoempapametal en Bayern. Na een lange reeks van singles en 3 EP's staat de Nederlandse symphonic metalband op het punt om op 23 april hun langverwachte debuutalbum The Cause of Shipwreck op ons los te laten. Eindelijk, zullen hun fans denken. Fans van Epica kunnen Blackbriar wel al kennen. Ze verzorgden immers al een paar keer het voorprogramma voor Epica. Een andere link is dat ze het album opnamen onder leiding van Joost van den Broek (die ook samenwerkt met o.a. Epica, Ayreon, Powerwolf, e.v.a.). Dat schept natuurlijk hoge verwachtingen.
