POISON IDEA vs Ieperfest ... Guess it's just not meant to be. That's 2 cancellations in a row now. We wish the band and its individual members all the best and maybe, just maybe, some time in future we will see them at Ieperfest after all?

Poison Idea is going on an indefinite hiatus following a successful month long European Tour due to some health/sanity issues, personal matters and addressing some unfortunate band behavior. All upcoming shows for the undeterminable future will be cancelled or postponed indefinitely. Poison Idea recently released a critically acclaimed new album “Confuse & Conquer” on Southern Lord Recordings. “See you soon”.

Bonecrusher zal ook niet te zien zijn op Ieperfest. Binnenkort volgen er twee nieuwe namen.

Sad news about our tour plans for this summer, unfortunately we have had to cancel plans to play shows at this time due to heath problems, this combined with the reality of the cost of low budget touring has made our tour for 2015 shows in Europe unrealistic. Touring with bad health was something I did in 2002, injecting Interferon before playing punkrock was not my idea of fun but as I was only playing guitar for an hour it was something that was worth trying but knowing what I do today, I think I would pass....let me get past health issues here for a second, the reality for this year was complicated by the thought that after playing 13 shows in 16 days we may or may not break even made us put our plans into perspective...The idea that we have an extra $10,000.00 laying around that we can pay out of our pocket for airfare/tour van/cas/rooms and food expenses coupled with the idea that five adults with familes take 2 weeks off of work without pay so we can rock out seems silly when I write this out on paper but that is the reality of the level of band we are. We have been lucky in the past that we have been able to lose work at home(but still keep our day jobs), pay our own way to tour and break even on a tour or lose a couple of dollars has always been worth the fun/experience/excitement we get from being able to play our music to Bonecrusher fans around the world. Fact is we have never asked for a hard $ amount to play a show anywhere and we would play for free if anyone wants cover expenses to get us to a show and back but we do draw a line at paying to play. Hopefully all is better soon and we can rock out somewhere in the future, more to follow....
