Voor wat vrouwelijk schoon zaten we bij Tiger Bell aan het juiste adres. De volledige band stond ons ten woord op Groezrock.

Hello ladies, can you introduce yourself and tell me what you do in this band?

Lovisa: Hey I am Lovisa, I am the singer and I play the guitar.

Canan: I am Canan and I play the bass and I do the background vocals.

Lisa: I am Lisa and I also do backup vocals and I play the guitar

Lotta: I am Lotta and I play the drums.

How did the band come together?

Lovisa: We became a band in 2010 after Lisa and Lotta moved to Stockholm. They needed a bass player and then they found Canan.

How did you guys find your band name?

Lisa: We all wanted an animal in our band name.

Canan: And someone just told us to put bell in the name and then we thought about it and then we found out that Tiger Bell would be a great band name.

What is the difference between other pop-punk bands and Tiger Bell?

Lovisa: Well first of all the earlier band-experience has influenced us so we do have music that sounds like Satirnine and Rewind. So because of that we are better songwriters.

Lisa: And of course we are a band with only girls. We also like to use the girly backup vocals.

Canan: It is also important that we put a message in every song we make. We don’t want to make just some songs, every song needs something.

What do you like about this band?

Lisa: We like that we are a close group and that we take care of each other.

Your debut album was mainly self-produced, how did that process go?

Lovisa: It went very good and smooth. The management helped us out a little bit.

Lisa: We think it went well but we are also happy that we have a label now.

About the label, did you notice any changes?

Canan: I don’t know if it is because the label but since we signed we have played a lot of times in France.

What are some places that you want to go back to?

Lovisa: We really liked the UK and France.

Do you have some time for sightseeing when you tour?

Canan: Not as much as we want, for example some of us haven’t seen the Eifel Tower and that is a pity.

Lotta: We saw it when we passed it when we were touring but we never had time to see it from a close range.

What bands would you like to see at a festival like Groezrock?

Canan: We are the only female band here so that is a shame.

Lisa: Yeah it would be nice to see some more female bands.

Lotta: It is nice though that the two headliners are from Sweden.

What bands are you going to see or have you already seen at this festival?

Lovisa: We enjoyed watching Comeback Kid, Psycho 44 and we will be watching Refused.

Canan: There were a lot of great bands and it was a fun festival.

When will you depart and go back to Sweden?

Lisa: That will be tomorrow morning very early so we won’t get much sleep.

Canan: Yes, but we are grateful that we could play here.

Would you like to come back to Belgium?

Lisa: Yes that would be great.
