Bezettingswissel bij Carrion

Er is sprake van een bezettingswissel bij Carrion. De groep neemt afscheid van bassist Sam Philipsen.

Philipsen was gedurende een periode van 7 jaar actief bij Carrion. De bassist geeft aan nood te hebben aan een pauze van het muzikantenbestaan. Met Collin Boone - voorheen actief in onder meer Saille en Powerstroke - heeft Carrion reeds een vervanger beet.

Sam Philipsen gaf via de sociale media duiding bij diens vertrek:

"I would like to announce that I’m stepping down as Carrion’s bassplayer. The sole reason as to why I quit is that I simply need a break from being a fulltime member in a band for a while. This has nothing to do with my bandmates nor the music they write (on the contrary they have cool new stuff coming up so keep an eye on that!). I had a great time being in this band the past 7 years and we created some very cool memories that will surely stick with me. [...] On a sidenote I’m not quitting music for good. I’m still open for sessionwork or maybe a studioproject but that’s it for now. As they say in Canada peace oooot buddy guys and hopefully see you this Saturday at my last show at de Kleine Kunst in Ghent."
