De Noorse zangeres Kari Rueslåtten komt in 2015 met haar nieuwe, vierde studio-album ‘To The North’. Het album is geïnspireerd door de dramatische landschappen van het Noorden. Het laat de luistereraars meezweven in een fantasiewereld. Zangeres Kari is ook een lid van de band The Sirens en is het meest bekend van haar vroegere invloedrijke band 'The 3rd and the Mortal'.

Zangeres Kari: "I’m interested in creating emotions in the listener, and mental resting places that allow people to close their eyes and transcend to a different environment. For me, I like music that creates images in my head that unfold into new stories and new worlds, and invariably these are my home, and the landschapes of the North."

Het album ‘To The North’ is een opvolger van album ‘Time To Tell’, dat in 2014 uitkwam. Deze keer heeft zanger Kari een duistere atmosfeer gecreëerd in haar album, samen met haar akoestische Noorse folk. Ze heeft haar inspiratie verkregen van Noorse en Keltische folk muziek, van artiesten zoals Loreena McKennitt, Tom Wait en Emmylou Harris.
