Cavaran was formed in 2014 in Aalst (B) by Lieven Tronkoe (guitar), Patrick Van der Haegen and Gert D'hondt (drums). They play solid instrumental desert rock, topped with wild and psychedelic guitars. The absence of vocals and the sparse lineup of a power trio gives a lot of freedom: while bass and drums deliver heavy, pounding yet groovy riffs, the guitar fills in the singer's spot.
Influences run from punk over blues to psychedelic stoner and trash.
Their enthusiasm brought them to various stages in Belgium and the Netherlands. By the way, they have also been house band for cult TV show "De Ideale Wereld."

The band signed with Polderrecords in 2020 and released the EP "Bulldozer" there. The production was in the hands of the ubiquitous Tim Toegaert. They also appeared on a few compilation albums, including Polderriffs Volume II. At the end of 2022, they got back into the studio with highly experienced and established producer Dirk Miers. Cavaran now eagerly presents their first full album "Nights at Josan."
