Athena XIX kondigt nieuw album aan en releast hun nieuwe single!

Het Italiaanse progressieve cult vijftal Athena XIX, onder leiding van Fabio Lione (Angra, ex-Rhapsody Of Fire, e.a.), zal hun vierde studioalbum Everflow Part 1: Frames Of Humanity uit op 25 oktober 2024 via Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM). 

De nieuwe plaat is het eerste deel van een concept dat geïnspireerd is door de sci-fi en dystopische visies van film meesterwerken als “Strange Days”, “The Matrix”, “Transcendence” en “Sunshine”. Het vertelt een verhaal waarin ecologisch bewustzijn en morele ethiek, controle van de massa en lukrake technologische vooruitgang samenkomen.
Vandaag onthult de band ook een nieuwe single Frames Of Humanity.

Fabio Lione vertelt: "This is one of the first songs we wrote for this record. Actually this is the finale of the first part of the concept. We start this album and history with it, like a flashback. Very deep, melancholic and gloomy somehow - this is the perfect introduction to the concept!"

Het album Everflow Part 1:Frames Of Humanity is niet bedoeld als een simpele samenvatting van een sterk uitgesproken verhaal, maar staat voor muziek geïnspireerd door onstuitbare creativiteit, een hardnekkig verlangen om te experimenteren en het vermogen om de tijdgeest van onze tijd perfect te belichamen.

"Even today A New Religion? is considered the best Italian prog metal album by many people, and Everflow marks a massive evolution of our sound. We worked hard on it, also to give each song a particular cut which is consistent with the articulated story of the concept."
