Equilibrium - Nieuwe single en introductie van nieuwe zanger

Het is al enige tijd stil bij Equilibrium, maar nu kunnen de Duitse modern metalvirtuozen het nieuws delen waar hun fans over de hele wereld op hebben zitten wachten: Het vijftal brengt vandaag hun gloednieuwe single Shelter uit!

Over het nieuwe album zegt René Berthiaume het volgende: "During the last months, we contemplated much on what Equilibrium means to us – musically and lyrically. And even though there are some important parameters shaping our style, we usually just start writing without questioning the process at all. We are very motivated and inspired and full of ideas. We want to create music without any compromises and just want to bring the feelings that we had in the studio to the stage. Currently, we're continuously working on new songs and new shows."

Met hun krachtige gutturals, haarscherpe riffs en een unieke combinatie van modern en folk metal is Shelter een mooie single die het moment aangeeft waarop het zestal als de veelgeroemde feniks uit de as herrijst, klaar om te schitteren voor de volgende drie decennia van Equilibrium. Het nieuwe nummer heeft een dubbele belangrijke betekenis voor de band, omdat het niet alleen het begin betekent van het volgende hoofdstuk in de succesvolle carrière van Equilibrium. Met deze single introduceren ze meteen ook de nieuwe zanger van de band, Fabian Getto, als drijvende kracht achter de toekomst van de metalveteranen.

Dit kan René ons vertellen over hun zoektocht naar een nieuwe stem binnen de band: "We did an open casting call and Fabian sent in a vocal performance of 'Renegades' that caught our attention. There was something special about him and we had to follow this intuition. Right from the first meeting we had an incredibly good connection and a productive and creative day in the studio. It seems like the person that we were looking for with our public casting call finally found his way to us."
